Pecans are one of the many types of nuts you can grow or purchase. Not all of them are grown on trees though (peanuts are like potatoes, they are grown in the ground). They are all, however, mostly used for food. There are walnuts, almonds, cashews and pistachios to name a few. All of these can be found as ingredients in a multitude of candies, pies, or salads. You can even enjoy them as part of a can of mixed-nuts. What kid doesn't like peanut butter, especially when paired with jelly spread between two slices of bread. PB&J sandwiches are practically a staple in school lunchboxes across the United States.
Cashews or pistachios, whichever your choice is, we hope you are on your way to becoming nuts about pecans.
